BigTB hires engineers on a contract basis and typically starts with a small, real “first-date” project. This allows both sides to build familiarity, evaluate working style, and determine a fair rate based on actual deliverables rather than theory or interviews alone.

Who This Role Is For
This role is open to full-stack engineers and engineers who are intentionally working toward becoming full-stack. If you currently lean frontend or backend but want to expand your skill set across the stack, BigTB is willing to help you grow through real, practical experience.

Curiosity, problem-solving, and a solutions-oriented mindset matter more than checking every box.

Typical Technical Experience
Most strong candidates have experience with some combination of:

Backend development using Node.js, Python, PHP, or similar frameworks
Frontend development using React or modern JavaScript frameworks
Working with databases and structured data, especially SQL or relational models
General engineering fundamentals such as debugging, performance awareness, and system tradeoffs
Around two or more years of experience is common, but demonstrated ability and mindset are more important than titles.

How Work Is Structured

Engagements begin with a small, clearly scoped project
Work is contract-based with defined deliverables
Rates and scope are determined based on what you can reliably ship
Strong collaborations often lead to repeat work and ongoing projects
This is not an internship and not a traditional W-2 role. It is real engineering work on real systems.
